Expanding a home demands a thoughtful approach, considering not just the project site but also the neighborhood surroundings. In the case of this 1940s ranch expansion, it shares space with similar homes. The objectives were to increase size and incorporate a second story.  By incorporating subtle features like low eave lines and skillfully utilizing roof volume for the second story, this home effortlessly blends in, earning a warm reception from its neighbors.
